Q: HIV: Infection from Bleeding Patient?

I work in a clinic and one of the patients was bleeding so he when and sit down but i took a paper and clean some part but with out gloves ....could i be infected????

If the man had HIV, if the blood got on your skin, and if you had a cut or something that would allow the blood to get through, then it would be possible.

You can take a test to make sure, but it does not sound like anything you should be worrying too much about.

but i dont know if the man has HIV ....or not ....but if it has ...wat do i do????

The only thing you can do right now is wait at least six weeks and get tested. If you test negative, you can test again at about three months. If you test positive, then your doctor should talk to you about your options.

Well i talk to my boss and he said is nothing to worry because the patient is stablke with family and childs and well i thinking in abot getting tested but its going to show???
