I'm new here, i found this site one day when i was searching the net after my older sister found out she was pregnant. I think this site is pretty cool. Anyways, im 17 and am going to be a senior this year, last year finally and i want a baby! I know it seems im young and everything but i am in a relationship with my boyfriend of 2 years and we both work just dont have our own place yet but that will come soon hopefully. I work at a daycare and have always wanted a baby. i think my mom is suprised i have made it this far without having a child yet because i used to say i wanted a child when i was younger, but i knew i wasnt ready..but i think i am ready now. So i was just wondering if any of you who are around my age planned your pregnancies and how everyone reacted?? did anyone want a child like i do??

Why do you wan't a baby? Is it for selfish reasons?
Babys don't return love, they are very demanding and selfish. If you realy want a kid I suggest getting one of those dolls first and seeing if the local hospital or clinic or college offers parenting classes.
Remeber a baby is another life and you don't want to rush into something that can't just be forgotten for an hour. If you're seriouse about haveing one be seriouse about doing the best you can for it.

You really need to finish school before you try to have a baby. You are still a kid yourself. The majority of women have longings to be a mother but you have to know when to be smart and tell yourself you are still not ready. If your bf is the same age as you, you both probably work minimum wage jobs. It could be a little bit higher. It's almost impossible for one person to live off a minimum wage job let alone raise a child. Please finish high school have fun and wait until you have a well paying job with health insurance so that the government and your parents don't have to pay for your child because that's usually what happens in cases like this. I'm not saying you wouldn't take care of a child if you have one, I'm just saying that you may not realize how much this will actually cost you both financially and emotionally.
