I am 33 weeks prego. and have been having these sharp pains in my stomach today. They feel like a stabbing pain. They are in the middle part of my stomach and sometimes the pain shoots down my pelvic area. Its really uncomfortable and hurts pretty bad at times. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is?? Is it normal? Should I contact my dr.???

braxton hicks sha=ould not be that painful that it is making you sick. Never. HUrt yes painful no. on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad is it? 1 being everything being fine no pain 10 being worse pain in the world like crying cause it hurts so much.
Anyting 5 and above go now 4 and under call again.

i called a nurse up at the hospital and she said if the pain got worse and more freguent within the hour that I should def. go to the hospital. But, after laying down and resting the pain went away a little. I was still a little nauseated, but the sharp pains werent as bad. I have called my dr. this morning and am waiting for her to call me back.
