I was in a wreck about a year ago. I was hit from behind and went through an atty for my medical bills to get paid from the other persons insurance. The other guys insurance had a court order for my records at my psychiatrist. I have been seeing this DR. for three years, I had a lot of crazy information in my chart. example: molestation, homicidal tendensies, my bipolar issues ect. My DR. said with a court order he had no choise but to give that insurance my records of three years. If I would have known this could happen to me, I would have never said alot of things that were in there. When I went for my depasition these people looked at me in a weird way, I could about imagine what they were thinking. And I am so very sure when they read my chart, they probably showed everyone that they could around the office. I was mortified and there was nothing I could do about it. What is the use of signing the confidentuality agreement. Why would they need my whole three years of records when the accident was not even my fault, I was parked when I was hit from behind. Mad
