I'm tempted to say that you shouldn't be worried, but you need to get tested out first, in order to exclude any potential physical conditions:

- Get an ECG/EKG scan.
- Test your blood pressure.
- Test your cholesterol levels.

If all those tests come back normal - then you shouldn't worry about it. I get those palpitations sometimes too... it's all self-induced anxiety. The only way to get rid of those symptoms is to work on your anxiety.

I get palpitations, its all part of my stress and anxiety levels.

Your mind can often play games though, ive worried about having palpitations since they began... and even if I started having them now, the chances are they would still frighten me... but really they are a natural thing that can happen. But still, the irrational part of me combined with alot of imagination makes me thoroughly believe something potentially serious is going on.

Ive been too see doctors so many times to check my heart, and its always top-notch.

I have horrible fears of having a heart attack. My adrenalin gets into my blood and gives me palpitations and such when I worry, or even just for no reason. Just like BAM!

There are other causes of palpitations that arn't serious;

overful stomach

flatulence

constipation

indigestion

smoking

caffeine

alcohol

drugs/medication

general excitement

exertion

fear

infections

the list goes on Smile

I get them as well. Lots of exercise and hydration helped me.

Palpitations
I am a 22 year old male who gets palpitations. They are very scary. I get used to them now, sometimes they feel so much worse of a thud than others but did you know that they are always the same no matter how hard the thud is, dont know why but they are.

Try magnesium and potassium supplements, maybe even ginkgo balboa. My blood pressure is high but it was way before the palpitations, i have put on weight though, i used to be an avid gym goer but when i stopped i put on the weight. I think in my situation it couyld be a weight issue and anxiety. I dint know you can feel anxious if you put on weight?
