A few months ago, my friend found out she had genital herpes. She's also on valtrex, but I have no idea if she's had an outbreak since then.

I hang out with her and it's all good, but I feel bad because I worry. I was told you can get herpes from a toilet seat. I don't know how true that is.

Someone else brought up the point, that there's a reason why it's called an "STD", in that you can only get it from sex, or skin on skin.

I'm not really sure. I feel bad because she's my friend, but at the same time I don't want to get it either.
