Actually, it's not purely Greek because
Greek borrowed it from older languages.

Thanks for the tidbit.
I posted this comment because there are
many posts about demons on this site. So
why not tell everbody this, I thought that
the ones that post on demons or possession
would want to know this if they didn't
already.
