Q: Low Stomach Pain

I'm an active 23 year old woman with no known health problems. Three days ago I started having sharp pains in my lower stomach. The pain feels similar to period cramping, but much more severe. Initially the pain was accompanied by vomiting and abnormal bowel movements. I thought it was food poisoning, but the pain has been present for several days. Any ideas? Suggestions?
