Shocked
This morning when I let the dogs out I sat out there and let them run for awhile, and normally we have a lot of Robins in our yard....they have a nest in the tree above our driveway, but today there are quite a few of these really dark brown birds....about the size of a Robin. Maybe they're Starlings? I know they aren't crows, but anyways I thought that was odd....I've never seen more than a couple in our yard. So I come in and don't think anymore of it. Well I'm sitting at the computer and I keep hearing this noise, almost sounds like my daughter jumping around in her crib and the crib hitting the wall. And out of the corner of my eye I see something through the blind, one of those birds is flying into my window! So I opened the blind and the whole back yard is filled with them! Why!? It looks like it's about to rain, and I think we're supposed to get some like....tonight. Could this be why? Or is my death in the near future?! Shocked

I do not think you are going to die. Well I do not think so . Just kiddingLOL um...............Call the police or the wild life assoc. in your area, or animal control and they will come and try to get rid of them for you. Short story of a simular problem.
A friend of mine lives in this building here and they have or had a bunch of seagulls nesting on top of there building and there was like 1000 birds on that roof know one really knows why. But until the city got rid of them they were pooping on cars diving at people hitting so cars flying into people I mean they were protecting their nests but actually hurting humans that lived in this building. My friend because of one of those birds ended up gettin 10 stitches in her head because a bird flew at her hit her inthe face and I guess some how it scratched her face bad enough to need stiches so becareful and do not let your daught go out unless you have an attached garage anyways just make sure you are protected even if you look stupid I do not know these birds but if they are seeing you inside a window and trying to hurt you then imagin what they would if they could get to you.

Yikes! they aren't very big birds. I tried looking them up to see what they are....seems they look closest to a blackbird or cowbird. This is the first time I've ever seen that many at once. Sometimes I'll see a couple, but never this many. They were in the trees and all over the grass. They are no longer out there, I was going to try and get a picture of them. But we have a woodchuck living in the backyard, and when I looked out I saw him and all the birds were gone.

That was a scary story, taykare! I'm pretty sure the bird was just trying to land on the little ledge that's on the window, the blinds were closed and I just saw a dark object, so I opened them and after that I didn't see anymore fly into this window.

imagecave is being slow, but I'm uploading a pic of the woodchuck

Okay then! Imagecave was working.

Here is the lil guy/gal that lives in our backyard

And here are a couple pics of my guard dogs, Chavo and Daisy:

Daisy has this thing where she hates to lay on the floor, so she will try to lay on top of whatever she can

Yeah, we stay our distance. Both dogs are cowards and wouldn't go near him. Groundhogs and woodchucks, I think are the same thing.

that happened at my house once! i looked out the window and there seriously must have been hundreds of these birds just covering the lawn and then all at once they took off. it was freaky though! they never came back and i didn't get a picture.

aww, look at little midge! ok, fine... daisy. she's grown so much! that's cute that chavo lets her lounge on him.

what are you going to name your woodchuck?

It really creeped my out when I was out front sitting on the steps with the dogs, because they were in the trees and it was harder to see them...but I could hear them. *shiver*

I just call him Chucky, because he can appear quite evil looking sometimes.

And I just posted more pics in Baby Talk if anyone's interested.

Martha, how old is your chi....and what's her name? I want pics!!

Your yorkie is adorable!!
Martha, if you had a long haired chi you could do bows! So I am going out on a limb and guessing Lola is a smooth hair.

Laura, yeah....it was crazy! We've never had a bird try to fly into our windows here! I don't think it was flying right into the window, but was trying to get in this 1/2 inch-ish ledge on the window....but was not at all graceful Laughing
They haven't been back since
About 11:00 it started raining a little bit, and now it's not doing anything. Maybe it's going to be a bad day Shocked
