Q: Spinal Blocks For Surgery

Hi,
I had my BTK amputation in August of 97. My Dr. did a spinal block during the surgery and told me it would help with phantom pains. I have only had 1 instance....My daughter gave me the Chicken Pox and I could not get that ankle warm. lol of all things. I swear by this procedure. In an episode of ER I saw a young boy who had to have an amputation due to Cancer and the Dr got in trouble by doing the spinal block. That is the only other time I have ever heard of it. It works.
