Q: Loss of Gag Reflex After Egd?
asked by: Michael Landman on March 12th, 2004

Hi,

had a egd yesterday, minor acid concerns, etc.

Problem is: prior to procedure = healthy gag reflex.

24 hours later: none, zero gag reflex.

Any ideas?

I'd give it some time. It might be the meds they used to reduce your gag refluxes are still lingering in your system.
