Q: Pulled Groin During Competitive Season

I pulled my goin figure skating (not a terrible pull, but bad enough to hinder me on the ice) and I can't take any time off becuase of an upcoming competition. It's been hurting for a few days, but seems to be getting worse. Is there anything that I can do to help speed the recovery? Any advice on just dealing with the pain would be helpful as well. Does mind over matter really work? lol Exclamation

Hi Skater
Sounds you've pulled a muscle, and you must rest it, it's painful cos it's inflammed.
Firstly see a doctor, and as for the pain, asprin or nerophen will help.
I'll re-post you in Muscle and Nerve disorder for you to get the help and support you need
Keep of the ice for a while Laughing Wink
