Yup! The seller accepted 46,900 for a 4 bed/ 1.5 bath house!!!! Yay!!! I have a yard and a garage!!! Woot! Woot! My closing date is 9/4!!!! Let's hope that everything goes smoothly and there are no upsets or surprises! I'll be living in my own house by my birthday!!!

is that a normal price of a house in your area or is it a fixer up or what? j/w cuz all the house we looked at were over 200000 for a nice one in a good neighborhood.

congratulations!! that's about what our mortgage is, we have a teeny tiny home though, plus it's in canada so...i think the particular market in whatever area you're in is the key. we're hoping to sell this house for twice the price when we're done with it. Smile


anyway. it's so very nice to own your home! so, hooray for you!

it's all regional. you should look around and see what your money can get in different states, it's quite a huge difference in some places.

Congratulations! I can't believe that you can buy that much with so little but I guess I am used to where I live now. You can't buy squat here for under 200,000.

Glad that you get to celebrate your birthday in your own home!

Awsome I remember my first house what a great experiance I hope it is for you too.

As for pricing my first house in SD was 94,000 sold for 107,00
my house in MN is 214,000 (but I'm earning more too) so yeah its all where you live.

yeah you cant get much here either for under 200,000 depending on what part of texas you live in
