It could very well be a problem if, after, you quit your birth control you had unprotected sex.
But if you didn't have unprotected Sex, and had a normal period after you quit your birth control, it could just be your body still adjusting. Because your first regular period even after birth control might still have came from the effect of the pill.
Take a test, to be sure. Never take any risks with missed periods.
:]
Good luck. Keep me posted.

Me Too
I just stop taking ALESSE (28 day cycle) about two months ago end of may 2007. In June I hadmy regular period and now July I should have gotten about 3 days ago (around the 26 & 27th) My period is very regular ever since i have gotten it but now im starting to worry if i could be pregnant... Im also hoping that its stopping the pill could do that also because of the change of hormones in my body Im also sexually active with my boyfriend but we always had protected sex and we always check the condom afterwards too to see if its not punctured... So could my BC do that? have one period after i get off it and then I dont have one?

If you don't have the issue of unprotected sex after stopping the pills, then don't panic!!

Stopping birth control can often cause late periods especially for the first month or two; my gyno even told me the same thing.

No Period After Quitting 2 Months of Bc
ah.
thx God for lucious T! hehe
im having the exact same thing and im freaking out. i thought i was ok after quitting because my period came at the rite time in the first month without bc, and now this month its not even here.
by the way is it possible to feel like ur period is going to come but not, ive had lots of symptons (because i get my period really bad sometimes) like cramps, gas and my lower back was hurting like crazy. I'm going to visit a GP tomorrow anyways just to make sure take the blood test and hopeful he/she will tell me its because of bc. Ive been having protected sex anyways ever since i quit bc and my boyfriend and i are very cautious!
anyways i thank the person who anwsered Lucious T's problem..thx u thx u thx u! i cant say it enough .. u made my worrying a little less. i think im gonna go return to using bc just because i realize how much stress this put on me. thx u again! Very Happy

Yes it's possible, that's exactly what happened to me. It felt like my period came and went but with no bleeding for the week and then Friday evening AFTER my gyno appointment it came, lmao.

Well I had my last placebo-week period and then was officially off the pills. 28 days came and I didn't have my period yet but that's when the cramping started (on a monday). I cramped all week and then finally friday night I got my period. I was bleeding/spotting until yesterday.

So, my period wasn't *really* late. It was late by a few days, which makes sense since my off-pill cycle is 35 days lol.

So I didn't have a month of "not having", but many women do have this.

It make take 3-4 months for your cycle to become regular again.

Well, you can take bc pills to regulate your period but then why go off them in the first place?

You shouldn't assume that you're pregnant unless you have had unprotected sex. Since you haven't, I would just guess that it is your body adjusting to stopping the pills. It is possible, (because it's always possible) but unlikely that you're pregnant.

to Continue...
well the reason why i stopped bc in the first place was because my prescription expired and at the time i had exams to deal with and i just started a new job and my scheudule was completly booked. I was going to go (because my last pack was in May 2007) in mid June be4 my period came so i could start it asap but never had the time. and by then i kinda liked not takin the pill every day. But now i kinda regret it becuz im stressing over this..which hopefully is nothing
Confused hopefully ill get it soon or in august sometime.
so if i take a Hpt and it 's negative..should i return back on the pill? Question

The clinic will actually require you take a test in the clinic before they give you any form of birth control anyway.

Asap of course. Inform them of everything that has happened so they can tell you if it's too early to know, and everything else.
