Hpv Vaccine
Posted: 07-25-07 14:23pm

Hey I was just wondering if anyone could tell me more about the HPV vaccine. I know that it consists of 3 shots over a 6 month period and it's recommended for girls between like 13 and 26 years of age. I've also read that the most common side effects were soreness at injection site and maybe some dizziness. My sister's doctor recommended it and I decided to look up more stuff about it and I thought maybe the ehealth community could help me out. Any info is welcome! Thanx!

Go to the website [removed]. This should hel pyo uout lots. My daughter just finished her series of shots. Yes, the injections sites a little sore, but nothing you can't deal with. These shots are well worth the trip to protect you against the many strains of HPV. HPV can cause genital warts which lead to cervical cancer. Other than the soreness, she had no other problems. Check out this website and read up! Hope this helps! Laughing

Fairy Godmother: thanks for the website. I looked at it and did find it very helpful. I plan to show my mother and sister later on, thanx again!

Georgia: that sucks about the insurance, I heard that some do and some don't. I have to remember to find out if ours does so thanks for the reminder!
