Over the last few years I started having panic attacks and they were getting worse and more often, I also realized over the last year that I started to become paranoid and would have panic attacks about things that never bothered me before. Now more recently my relationship and financial situation have really taken a toll on me. Over the last few years I realized these things but never could figure out what was wrong with me in some cases and had been tested for all kinds of illnesses
TMJ
Weight gain (very fast)
Weight loss (very fast)
Insomnia
low to no energy
very high strung
More recently I have added some more problems to the list
more frequent panic attacks
no patience
waking up in cold sweats
waking up in a jolt
I recently went to the doctor and told him that I was having trouble sleeping and losing weight. He put me on ambien as needed and also gave me one month's worth of diet pills to get a jump start. I took the ambien for one night and it worked great but really haven't had a good night to be able to take it again. I didn't start the diet pills because the pharmacy did not have them in stock.
Anyway, Sunday my fiance and i got into a really big argument over something very stupid and it got very heated and I was very upset and crying. About 2 hours later I had serious chest pains like I never had before I was really worried so I went to the ER. After 2 EKG's, bloodwork, a chest x-ray, and 3 hours on the heart monitor they came back and told me I had chlostochondritis...they explained to me that this is a muscle in my chest basically between the breast bone and the ribs that is inflamed and gave me motrin and sent me on my way. When I read the discharge papers it stated that the cause of this is emotional stress...after that and reading these boards it all adds up now. ALL of these problems that I have had are a part of this stress and anxiety and possibly depression. I am going to follow up with my personal doctor tomorrow in hopes for some help but what I am wondering is do I need to see a psychiatrist for this?
The Motrin did not help me at all and I need something that will help, I am still having the pain although it has definitely calmed down from what it was.
