Hi, I'm hoping someone might have an idea if these symptoms match up with any known problem or disorder:

I'm male, in my early 20s, and in great shape.

The thing is, some days I feel fantastic. Energetic, happy, outgoing. Other days I just feel tired all day and kind of apathetic and depressed. I can't find any real reason or cause for this. My sleep habits are good, my diet is lacking in fruits & vegetables but otherwise pretty good. (I take a multi vitamin as well)

It is just perplexing how wildly it swings. On Monday I'll feel like I can run a marathon, work 16 hours or conquer the world. Then on Tuesday I'll be fatigued and unable to get motivated to do anything.

I'm not sure if it is related, but I lift weights fairly regularly (and have for about 5 years) and I'm often very sore the next day, when most people seem to only be sore if they are just starting out lifting.

Does this sound similar to anything?

Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil

You're an energetic guy, and really look after yourself, however, you do mention that you lack eating Fruit n veg (naughty lad) Laughing ... although you take multi-vits, they don't always cover everthing, and especially as you are energetic, do weights and keep fit, you need to eat fruit n veg ... banana's are especially good for you, they have potassium in them, which feeds your blood cells, and it's a good sourse of energy (better than an energy bar) and it's one of the recomended '5 a day'.
In your subject title - you mention 'mood swings' ... if you were a girl, I could answer that one Laughing Embarassed but as you are young guy, it's not that. Razz I think it may be the lack of nutrition - you need a balanced diet, eat plenty of fruit n veg, try it for a while, and see if you improve.
Good luck, and keep in touch if you need us to support you, or if you have any questions.
