Hi there,
I wanted to drop a line about mastectomies and the scarring that is resultant from it, which can limit motion and cause a lot of pain. ASTYM therapy is something that works to loosen the scarring, giving us back our range of motion across our chest.
There isn't a lot of information about this available as yet, because it's a pretty new thing, but ASTYM therapy works to reduce scarring in the body, and it is pretty amazing when used in a post-surgical situation.
Basically, ASTYM is done by certified clinicians, who also give the patient specific stretches and strengthening exercises (crucial, post-surgery.) Rather than have a build-up of scarring, ASTYM teaches the body to lay down healthy tissue.
I just thought this should be brought up here.
