i don't eat seafood .A.T. A.L.L, will this hurt my baby in any way? i know fish are supposed to be really healthy for a pregnant woman because of the .Omega-3's & DHA fatty acid. it's especially important for brain growth.

are .Omega-3's & DHA fatty acids found in any other foods? i've read that brain growth is most rapid in the last trimester, so i want to eat something that's healthy for this. i just can't stomach fish, at all. the smell alone makes me want to toss my cookies.

hm. never heard of them. over-the-counter med's? or prescription?

i see my doctor in a couple of weeks, i'll bring it up with her. i doubt my baby has been hurt, too. i read somewhere that small amounts of DHA are found in chicken, and that i eat at least once a day. i just wanted to get more of it in the last trimester since that's when the brain grows the fastest.

thanks, though! i'll definitely mention them to her to see if she gives me the okay.

did you find out what you are having, yet?

I've actually heard that you are supposed to limit the amount of seafood that you eat and if you do eat it to make shure that it is fully cooked because you could get sick?!? Confused

you are supposed to limit it but it's also really good for you, so having it a few times a week is recommended. there are certain types to avoid though. there's another thread in the pregnancy health forum that talks about this.
