I have many liberal friends who want to
leave.
I say this to them: "I can not abandon my
country in this condition. I know I can
make a change, and I will fight to do so.
Leaving is like committing a hit-and-run
accident, or leaving someone to drown. I
cannot do that. I cannot see my country
languish and simply do nothing; simply run
away!"

I have actually DONE something. A) I vote.
I vote in local, county, state, and
national elections. I also demonstrate. I
educate people at my college. I DON'T sit
around and argue. It's summertime and I'm
in Florida, my college is in NY.
So there.
Before you assume I'm a "do-nothing,
bleeding-heart liberal" who just whines
like an annoying mosquito (they annoy me

A. You misunderstand. "I do not think
just the president is capable, but a
collective force of people" as well.
Note the word "just" as in, "not only".
Bush is a dolt anyways, Cheney pulls the
strings.
B. I live here because I have eight dogs
and eleven cats and it is impossible to
move elsewhere reasonably. Look up
quarantine restrictions as well as fees.
I cannot abandon my family here. Why do
people not understand this? We can't
afford to move everyone right now.
I would like to know why you think I "seem
proud of" living here. I have never given
justification for this, methinks you are

thought of being shot down...it is the

I was talking to everyone who thinks this
in general. you didn't make any
accusations. I actually agree with what
alot of what you had wrote. I just don't
agree with people putting on videos etc
and saying that the government did this

It's like an abused woman who starts
working for a domestic violence shelter.
When we leave the USA it isn't only
because 9/11, it's b/c social security,
health insurance, etc. Not all empires
last forever.

leave? if people just left when they were
unhappy with something we would all be
nomads. just because someone isn't
capable of acheiving change on their own
doesn't mean that they should just shut up
and take it. that is why there is
democracy and freedom of speech. those
are the two things that your countrymen
and women are always parading around as
the best things about america.
governments change. why should someone
abandon their homeland that they love
because that change takes time. a forum
like this can educate someone if it is
used right to share information instead of
