it's offical. finn's growing up too fast.

earlier nick and i were eating dinner and i look over and finn's standing up completely on his own examining a toy in his hands. usually he has to have one hand on something or if he does lift it up he hovers an inch above whatever he was standing next to and grabs back on after a few seconds.

so of course i was all "look! look! he's standing!!!" and nick looks over and goes "yeah..." and proceeds to eat his food. Rolling Eyes

i don't think it'll be too long before he's walking.

this makes me sad.

and here's a picture where he's sporting some uber dorky hair (i just took it to post on nick's sister's myspace, she gave him the onesie)-

Haha I thought the title said "Dear Finn, Please Stop Growling" and then when I was done reading it I was like "Bridget forgot to get to the part about growling".

What a big boy! Standing up. Go Finn!

thanks for the comments!

jerrica, he's going to be into *everything* when he's walking. he's already a pain in the butt sometimes. he's just so curious about everything! all day i follow him around and try to keep him out of the bathroom and kitchen. it's fun though!

sarah, try not to compare reese to other babies. all babies develop at different rates, finn may be able to do something that reese can't and reese probably does stuff that finn can't do (like waving, finn just doesn't get it. i'll be waving like a fool and he'll just sit there with a silly smile on his face). and you're right, he could go straight to walking and skip crawling all together.

the teeth brushing is new to us so i haven't quite remembered to do it regularly. actually, i've only done it twice... but he likes it. he won't open his mouth or anything for me to really scrub his teeth so i kind of stick the brush in and swipe it around a few times, then let him play with it. i need to add it to his bedtime routine so i remember to do it nightly.

thanks cindy and sandy!

he'll be 9 months on august 3rd, isn't that nuts?! we're planning on ttc soon, we'll probably really start trying after the wedding in october.

standing alone is officially his new favorite thing to do. he thinks he can walk though, he'll try to take a step and fall flat on his face. he also keeps knocking his face and head on things, i feel like he should be wearing a helmet.

i still don't understand how 9 months passed so quickly...

Oh Bridget, I know how you feel! Hannah has taken her first few steps now, and I was thinking perhaps a velcro suit might properly stick her to the carpet so she can't move so fast! When she finally gets going i think i will probably have a coronary. She's already so fast!

awwwww, he's so cute.
When he starts walking, poor Bridget will be beside herself. That's when reality sets in that they are starting to grow up.
