Hi Nickey

Firstly... what size are you at the moment ? in compared to your frame.
If you are happy to have them enlarged, I'd be serious to make enquiries with your doctor, write down all the concerns you have. I haven't heard that you do loose sensation, but if the implantation goes wrong, then it will be a disater .. I'm not against any body enhanced surgery, but please have a good long hard think about it, and weigh up the pro's and cons first.

Good luck in what you decide, and your lucky to have a boyfriend that will pay for something you really want. Smile ..if you decide to have it done.

Ginger

It is true.

Depending on the type of surgery you could get, you could end up with no sensation in your nipples and parts of your breats.

I would rather be happy with what you have. I'm a small size A, you don't see me complaining.

Everyone is different, I am a 36D and happy with them... but for some people, this is a problem with confidence, I know you are a confident person Tyna, and happy with yourself, a I'm happy to know you.
I looked up on the net about Breat Enlagements a bit more, and there is more to meet the eye than just implanting larger breasts....Nicky, please look into this extra hard, try and be happy with what you have, and look into your inner self to find your confidence, cos once you've started any enhancements to yourself, you'll find something else to change.

Professionally Speaking!
I can honestly answer this question because I had mine done in 2000. I never lost sensitivity or feeling whatsoever in mine. Depending on the doctor and person, there are rare occcasions that this may happen. Nerve damage and other things are taken into consideration in any surgery. I lost a lot of weight and had this done to "balance" myself out. I have not had any problems with them and wish i'd done it back when i was in my 20's. Feel free to PM me if you;d like. Yo uare bound to get lots of negfative comments here, there are a lot of people who do not agree with augmentation................I'm not a bimbo, I am a research lab tech with degrees out the ying yang...Just wanted to have a better looking body, without the sags.... Well there's a difference in fixing saggy breasts or augmenting a girl who isn't even a size A at age 20, compared to a girl with B's who feels inadaquet next to Anna-Nicole Smith.

I'm not gonna say you should or shouldn't have it done, but I have heard that there are different types of augmentation surgery, and some of them are more known to cause you to loose sensation. So make sure you tell the doc that is important to you!

Losing sensation is not the only danger of breast augmentation.

Just do some internet searching beforehand.

I know you didn't ask for opinions. But do not put your health at jeopardy to be a Barbie doll. Why would someone who cares about you want you to do this to yourself?

you shouldn't automatically assume she is trying to look like a barbie doll. some women have other reasons for having something like this done. it could be sagging from weight loss or having children or just lopsidedness. maybe she has a real, longterm self esteem issue that could easily be made a lot better by having the surgery done. i personally wouldn't judge someone who did this to make themselves feel better. i used to think i would never have any kind of plastic surgery done, but now my body has been so damaged by having to have major surgery during my pregnancy and i have no idea what i will be dealing with after this baby comes out what with the huge scar that has been stretched over my belly and probably a lot of sagging skin. yeah, i could work really hard to try to come to terms with the body i will have afterward, but if i have the means to get it fixed then i will definitely consider it. someone who is willing to put their body through the pain and risks of surgery better want or need it badly as far as i'm concerned. but who are we to judge that decision for someone else?

You're right. I shouldn't assume that.

Something about the way the post was phrased that make me think that it's purely cosmetic.

I am repulsed by breast implants because they inflame my feminist sensibilities. I think women are worth more than their appearance, and getting breast implants reduces you to a purely physical being. I understand cosmetic surgeries; but breast implants purely to have a larger chest offends me, and I am unable to stay silent. Women will not be equal so long as they feel their attractiveness and value is in their cup size.

The dangers of breast augmentation are well known. Why would someone who truly cares about you champion this cause?

Getting breast implants scares the crap out of me lol I have watched to many of those shows where they have women tell stories it went bad for them, and the risks of something going wrong. I guess if you don't like my size then theres the door. And to lose the feeling in my nipples... no thanks i like that to much Embarassed Very Happy

Thanks!
Kaerbear, thank you..........this is the main reason I have mine augmented 8 years ago. I too have had my share of surgeries and scars and thanks to modern science, technology and a great plastic surgeon, I now feel very secure in my own body. I by no means look like a Barbie doll, I am balanced and try to take care of waht I have........its 50 my Gosh, there is only so much diet and exercise can do. For the women who look down on this type surgery becasue it "degrades" women, you can bet your ass if men could "augment" themselves in this type of procedure, there would be "bulls" walking the earth. Its not the stereoype or plastic surgery that makes a woman look like a bimbo, its hte way a woman presents her self. I'm not out there yelling for my "Jerry "beads/Madri beads, although I could get a jewelrybox full.......I repsect Kaerbear forspeaking out and explaining, that this is done to help someones self esteem and when you've gone through life being the last one chosen on a team, being called the fat girl, the outcast.....I have the funds and it was the right time for me to so something for me....and I did, and I am glad I did. Cool

birch women who do breast implants think like this...."beauty fades, but silicon stays!" Laughing

i have small breast and i really like my small boobies. Even tho I have done plastic surgery to straighten my nose I would never consider breast implants, can't stand the thought of having anything synthetic inside my body. Also small breasts never look bad, it's not a deformity by any means so I just don't understand why any woman would think that is terrible. I can understand what karebear says, a saggy belly, big prego scar, that is completetly understandable to wish for surgery but small bobbies? What's wrong with that?

I prefer small breasts, I like em perky!

And silicon doesn't stay Wink All the sites I researched reminded the patient that silicon will not be a permanent operation and follow up surgery will be required.

Mine stayed.. I had them in 1976.. I have had No problems I have the "so called bad silicon ones. and my nipples are just as sensitive as before. The incision was done around the nipple instead of the under the breast.. Would I do it again? NO!

Hi
On the same page with meblondeo1....except I opted for saline instead of silicon. Please do not do this except for anyone other than yourself. You will regret it if this is the case. Also, its one of the wrost surgeries I have ever had, going behind that muscle wall hurts like a B**ch! Would I consider doing it again, not if it was going to hurt like it did the first time.........I agree with the other about having silicon put into my body. And not about to have poison injected into a few wrinkles........ Laughing

Yeah, I think the reason I reacted the way I did was because it kind of sounded like she was doing it for her boyfriend... Maybe husband, but boyfriend? You might not even end up together and then you'll have plastic breasts that belong to your ex!

I would never do something to my body for someone else.
