OK. So let's go at it: who here believes
evolution is bogus? What's your proof?

Evolution, as in we've evolved from a more
primitive species. As opposed to the "God
made us in his image" belief.

ok.. i'm ready to get slammed.. if we came from
monkeys, why are not all monkeys like us..
Some just decided to stay down-right and
not walk up-right?
And if we came from the big bang? What
made all the components to make the big
bang?

um i don't think it's that we "came from"
monkeys, it's that monkeys are our closest
cousins since we have 98% of their dna.

the same "family"
and cats and tigers...zebras and
horses...etc
thats what i think
we are distant relatives to apes but
...didnt exactly come from them...i dunno
how im trying to explain it

I just have a feeling that this might get
personal for some people. I hope not.
I dont believe that we as humans evolved
from apes. Even in anthropology class in
college when my teacher was teaching us
about evolution, he himself that there is
a missing link. So no I don't think that
we come from apes.
I do however believe that we as humans
have evolved from primitive man as in cave
man type humans. The cavemen have been
found to have different bone structure
than modern day man, and from this, I
think that there is proof that we have
evolved, not necessarily from apes, but we
as humans have evolved into what we are
today.
There still is that missing link that as
of now, still has not proven that we
evolved from apes.

That's easy to explain. It's the same
reason not all bugs are identical, not all
fish are the same, etc.
Secondly, there were many many species of
sub-humans evolving with us. Yes, there
were many similar species of "human"
evolving together, to answer your
question. But not all monkeys had a need
to develop bipedalism. Eventually, natural
selection finally weeded homo
sapeins out as the strongest species. All
of the other species died out. They were
just not as well adapted for changing
climates and travel as homo
sapiens was.
As for the big bang, we just don't know.
Science doesn't have all the answers, but
unlike religion, science doesn't "make up"
reasons for everything just to finish the
story

No, we didn't come from apes, that's what
no one seems to understand. People AND
apes both came from an ape-like
ancestor.
Secondly, I'm pretty sure the "missing
link" has been discovered. No, I don't
remember exactly what National Geographic
article it was in. Thing is, it was never
just "one" animal or pre-human. Just like
puberty isn't a single step...

If the missing link was discovered, it
wouldnt be called the THEORY of evolution.
There is no missing links. In fact there
would need to be thousands-millions of
missing links to make the theory true.

ahh thats what i was trying to say!!! sub
humans is a great word for it
and i didnt mean to say that we CAME from
apes
but that they are apart of the group that
never evolved

I think the theory is just silly. Its mans
way to explain away God.
If one just puts a little thought and
reason into it, I believe they will come
to the conclusin that God is real.
For evo to work, plants and animals would
had to have evolved at the exact same
rate. If it werent for plants animals
wouldnt be here. Coincidentally the plants
evolved into fruits and veges that we must
have to survive. And coincidentally they
taste great.
Life just doesnt come into existance. With
our great technologically advanced labs,
scientists have tryed and failed every
time to create life. Yet it just happened.
cmon.
Self reasoning tells us its bogus.
If we evolved we wouldnt have a sense of
consious or morallity, but we do.
enough for now.

Why is it that people think evolution has
to exist seperately from "god". Why is it
that "god" could not have made evolution
possible? I don't pretend to know how we
all got here. I am a small, infantisemal
speck-I could no sooner grasp the big bang
theory in my primitive human mind than I
could grasp creationism. None of us will
know for absolute certainty until the end.
Personally, evolution makes more sense
and there is a lot more supporting data
for that than for creationism.

My hubby believe in God but he also
believe in evolution. He feels they go

Yes it would be. Even with irrefutable
proof, religion would still deny science.
Please take a college anthropology class
and take it with an open mind.

There are many ways they can.
I would like to note that I do not believe
that God and Evolution have to be
separate. "Intelligent Design" is rather
silly, but I believe that taking the real
theory of evolution and the universe in
general and saying god is up there sort of
nudging things along is a rather fine
stance to take. It's not mine, but I have
no issue with it.

For the note, I wasn't actually typing
"homosexual sapiens". That was an attack
of the word filter. It doesn't like the
word "homo".

There is actually an evolutionary way to
explain homosexuality as well.
I'd best get myself off this topic. I am
not religious, I am scientific to the
core, so I cannot conceive someone not
believing something so OBVIOUS. It's like
believing the Earth is flat... That's how
dumb people sound to me when they don't
believe evolution.
