that sucks, i hate being home alone during storms, we had a bad one but short the other day here with hail. i dont freak out to much though tornados are very rare here. the wind picks up crazy too and it freaks me out, saturday night our power even flickered and the power goes underground too.

ooh i hate thunderstorms. well, they scare me anyway. i used to love them and not be scared of them at all but this one time i got a phone call first thing in the morning from out of town (my bank) and i was sitting on my bed by the second floor window and the blinds were down and all of a sudden there was this huge explosion. i screamed and dropped the phone. i thought it was a car bomb because there had been a biker gang bombing cars in the city at that time. i actually saw red light coming in the window and felt heat on my face. the lady on the phone was like "omg have you been shot?" lol. turned out that the tree outside my window had been hit by lightning. there was a strip of bark a couple of inches thick missing from the top of the tree to the bottom and a big black mark on it. it was a huge old elm tree. that made me scared of thunderstorms and now i have nightmares if i try to sleep through them. Sad

I don't like thunder and lightning either. I can't believe we've had so many floods and everything

Yea, its so bad.

Kearbear - I would literally freak out if that happened to me. I was stood at the back door on the phone to my mum earlier on and a loud clasp of thunder came along and I hid behind the door. Embarassed Very Happy

Grr! I'm not complaining too much about it being cold, seens as its not, just humid. And when its hot I can't take that either but the rain, thunder and lightening especially takes the micheal cos I can't go out! Crying or Very sad
