Hi. I'm a type 1 diabetic. I'm on a strict diabetic diet and I'm looking for some new recipe for a diabetic cake. I want to meet people with the same condition as mine, here on board and to shear my experience and knowledge. I want to hear new experiences and learn something new from others.
I'm waiting for your replays.

Re: Diabetic Cakes
Hi,

You should check out Splenda brand sweetner, they make a Splenda designed for baking. You substitute Splenda for the sugar using half of whatever your recipe calls for. I use it alot and it tastes great to me, I can honestly say I can't tell the difference and, to me, there is no after-taste, but try if for yourself, it costs somewhere around $5-$7 and you should be able to find it at any grocery store. You also won't be limited in what you can make, I have used it in cakes, cookies, cobblers, muffins etc.. Hope you try and like it!!
