Chronic sinus inflammation (sinusitis) usually manifests from an anatomic background such as a deviated nasal septum, allergic background or bacterial infection that hasn't completely healed. Treatment of chronic sinusitis should first address the basics: congenital of acquired bone anomaly, allergy or infection. Alternative medications are not the first choice therapy of allopathic doctors.

Propolis is a honey component and has been found to improve immunity. Chronic sinusitis is always accompanied by infection, no matter the basic cause so it makes sense to use propolis in case of chronic sinusitis. Cantarion is good for healing wounds but might not be useful in cases of chronic sinusitis. Warming of the sinuses with a infrared lamp is very useful. Sea or saline water could be also very useful in cases of chronic sinusitis because this liquid dissolves mucus and make its expelling from the sinuses easier.
