I think to sugest that humans are the only
race in this big wide universe would be
pretty arogant of us as humans i think
that there are many different races out
there.

i'll take the words from my boyfriends
mouth since he's the one who said it, he
believes that there could be life in other
solar systems but not in ours, he thinks
they would have found them by now if they
were in our solar system.

I believe there are aliens on the Earth
already. Look in a mirror.
Outerplanetary aliens could exist in a
different dimension; they could defy the
laws of physics as we know them...there
very well could be aliens in this solar
system and we have not the capability to
'see' them.

True - I've never been to the USA -
doesn't mean that there ain't any aliens
living there tho ----thinking of it, I
live in England and I've never been to
London - there's bound to be the odd one
or 2 there ...look at all them weird men
standing outside Buckingham palace with
the tall hats on ..... how
do we know that they wear them to hide
thier heads eh ???

As far as real aliens: aka intelligent
species living on a planet other than
ours: Obviously there could be.
UFOs: As far as actual "alien spacecraft
visiting Earth" - Hell no. Our planet is
not in an exciting solar system and it's
not in an interesting galaxy. Andromeda,
our neighbor, is far bigger and more
exciting. Aliens would go there.

The chances are astronomically (pun
intended) low. The universe is a huge
place, and we're not really that exciting.

When you think of it logically .... if you
were visiting a planet, and all you saw
was fighting and the human kind being
cruel to each other and our planet and
everything living on it and around it ....
would you land here ... I'd turn my little
spacecraft 180 degress and go back home,
however, on the other hand, we have lovely
lands and lovely people on this planet,
but its a small percentage in comparison.
Do you think this is why they may not make
contact, because the Human race are
distructive ?

yes but how do we know how they think?
they might be interested in knowing and
understanding our lives and our planet
we cant say we arent that interetsting
to them- we may be far more complex than
they are

If we are more complex than they are, then
how the heck did they build a spaceship
capable of getting to us? See the fatal
flaw there?
Again... we can only go off of our own
logic, but it doesn't make sense to visit
our planet... there were surely planets
far closer to the alien's homeworld they
could visit with life.
Not even pretending we're the most
interesting system in the universe (which
we're not) the universe is still a huge
huge place. It would be like finding a
needle in a haystack, a coin at the bottom
of the ocean.

weve built space ships
just not ones that can go to differnt
solar systems.
i never said i didnt belive taht they only
existed outside of our solar system
they could be right here
on this planet
living and breathing...in the fom of a bug
or a human even
who knows

Darling... "alien" in the case of space
means a species FROM OFF OF OUR PLANET.
It could not be a bug living in your front
lawn. If that bug IS from off of our
planet... how the heck did it get here?
Sorry; but that's just nonsense.
Yes, we have spaceships... but not advanced
enough for interstellar travel. Heck, we
can't even manage inter-planetary travel
at this point.

I try not to think about it. The universe
is so big and vast that it makes me queasy
just imagining it.
My husband and I were driving home from a
long trip at night, and he had his sunroof
uncovered and open. I had my seat reclined
and was staring straight up at the
stars... and I was concentrating on them
so hard that the rest of the jeep's roof
seemed to melt away, and it honestly felt
like I was staring down
instead of up. I felt like I could have
fallen forever if I hadn't been buckled
into my seat. It made me dizzy and I had
to stop.
There are creatures living in the deepest
parts of our ocean that we have no idea
about. That alone terrifies me. I don't
even want to think about what could be out
in space.

The human species could very well be
modern aliens. We live in complete
discord with our environment. We think
originally, we act originally,
biologically we have no defenses, our
young cannot even live on it's own for
years, we are fragile creatures.
Perhaps what we see as Gods were aliens.
Maybe Jesus was an alien misreported.
Maybe he really did turn water into wine,
resurrected, walk on water, etc, and it
was like watching Star Trek to the people
around him. I think that's not so far
fetched, considering the widely accepted
alternative that he was a mystic deity.
We, or any other species, could have crash
landed, been planted here intentionally,
etc.

P'shaw. We find ant hills interesting.
We study individual ants.

I just have far too a practical mind to
believe that extraterrestrials have
visited us.
I think it is shameful to say the ancient
peoples were not capable of doing the
amazing things they did with architecture,
medicine and astronomy, without some
"alien" influencing them.

I think it is impractical to think they
have not.
