That tsunami wasn't caused by global warming lol, and it hit some islands and then india. Most (if not all) tsunamis are caused by earthquakes under the ocean, or landslides offshore. Global warming wasn't a factor ^^

Well yeah. Ain't nothin' we can do about tectonics, they're down there doing what they've been doing for billions of years lol. Did you know that we're also overdue for a polar shift?

You know how magnets (and the earth) have a north and a south pole? Well, ever couple of million years, the magnetic polarity switches... so north becomes south!!

Isn't our Earth's rotation off balance now, kinda wobbling a little because of the recent tsunamis we had this year?

Hell no.

Our planet has had a "wobble" for billions of years. This wobble is normal, and in fact causes the night sky to be slightly different in our modern records than the records of the ancient Egyptians. They had a different "north" star than we do now.

The Vatican is the first nation in the world to take real steps in correcting their carbon footprint, they have planted a whole forest to off set their carbon footprint - Global warming is something the Vatican is taking very very seriously.

A hybrid is a car that runs on gasoline and batter power. At slow speeds it uses no fuel at all, thus burning less and sending fewer harmful chemicals into the atmosphere. Plus they get amazing fuel mileage.

I have a hybrid car, and I got money back from the government just for buying one. The government here is funding ALOT of energy saving strides that we take. It's great. I am really happy. I also use mostly all canvas grocery bags. Most of the people in my last community used them to. They are really nice we buy them for about 50 cents each and its just a black canvas bag. THERE is surely alot going on here to try to help with global warming. I just wish that the big factorys around here would do something.. : I live by Toronto ALOT of smog and pollution coming from there.. It's weird though because when I drive to Toronto.. I can actually feel the temperature difference and it shows up in my car to. Its hotter there.

"Ahhhh. Thank you girlfriend and erie for the info. I felt so foolish. Now I don't though. "

A person who asks a question is a fool for a minute, a person who dosnt ask is a fool all their life!

"I guess they had better be considering their dismissal of population issues."

Population issues..... which one... we are over populated or we are under populated - seems so many people today still think of the 1960's stats that suggested that the worlds population would sky rocket by the 2000's and no so many know about the worlds current crisis of heading towards under population so much so that state pensions and social security are under serious threat.

The Vatican dismissed the population crisis in 1960's that governments ingnored which lead to world wide birth control and abortion programmes now the western governments are reaping their "benefits" of under population and people wonder why we have so many asylum seekers.... we need them to replenish our falling birth rate.... in the uk 2 people die to 1 being born....in Italy 9 people die to 1 being born (lowest in Europe).

If You Want to Help...
Posted: 07-23-07 17:07pm

If you want to help stop global warming stop eating meat.

The meat industry causes more pollution then all the cars on the road.

Don't believe me? Google it, there have been several studies involving the meat industry and how it pollutes our environment.

The meat industry also takes a h*ll of a lot more water to produce meat than what it would take to produce the same amount of veggies.

Every person who is vegetarian for 1 year saves about one acre of rain forest.

Google all of this I think you will be surprised at how horribly bad for our environment the meat industry is.

Oh yeah, and buy local!!!
