My father is almost 89 yrs old and it has been discovered he has an Aortic Aneurysm of 6cms. It isn't bothering him and as he has been told he only has a 50/50 chance of surviving surgery won't go for it as he considers even if successful not worth going through the trauma at his age. First question is if this ruptures would death be quick? Second question is he is due to go on a 2 hr 40 min flight next month and is determined to go. Does the chances of rupturing increase with flying?
