Q: She Wants Her Momma.

I've been with Ava 24/7 this summer. We haven't gone anywhere without her. The only time my mom kept her at all was when Jesse's mom passed away. She's so attached and so am I. Today I went work in my classroom and she cried for 20 minutes after I left. She was with her daddy too. I thought she'd be okay with him. When I came back she was so excited and kept hugging me. I had to leave right after to go to Walmart. When I came back Jesse told me that he had been trying to put her down for a nap for an hour. She was tired, but kept crying and was aggravated. I took her and put her to sleep in less than 5 minutes.
I don't know what we'll do when school starts. I guess there's nothing we can do. She'll just have to get use to Jesse and my mom again. I'll miss my little baby so much.

I'm sorry you have to go to work and leave her. It would be so great if we could all afford to stay at home with our babies *wishful thinking*

aw, poor girl. well this is the age where separation anxiety is supposedly at it's worst. hopefully she'll be over it by the time you have to go back or at least she'll get over it quickly once she realizes it's the new routine, you know?

don't you feel bad for jesse? finn doesn't have any separation issues but he does make nick feel bad pretty much every night when he tries to play with him and finn keeps coming to me and won't pay any attention to him.

That is sooo hard! Im sorry. The guys have it rough because even if they want to help, sometimes there's just nothing they can do. You could try leaving her a couple of times a week for an hour or so, and get a little bit longer each time so that she gets used to being with others. How tough it is! Hannah did that for a long time, but she's pretty good about it now. Shy used to commence crying as sooon as I stepped through the door and would cry any time I put her down or left her sight. It was miserable, but only lasted about 6-8 weeks.

Yes, Jesse tries so hard to help me out by putting her to bed, but she'll drink her bottle for a couple seconds and then sit up on his lap and watch me in the bed until I get up and take her, then she's putty in my hands. I get to sleep so quickly.
She loves playing with him. We find that she goes to him to play and me for comfort and when she's tired.
When he puts her down, she's fine. When I put her down, she cries and cries and says, "momma, momma".
It's funny how kids are. I love it though. I finally feel some appreciation for all the hard work I've done with her. I gets lots of hugs and kisses all day.
I feel bad when Jesse leaves for work and goes to kiss her and she gets aggravated and slaps his cheek. She doesn't like his beard though when he goes a while without shaving. I think she remembers that and just doesn't like him to kiss her.
