For the past couple of weeks I noticed
that when I go running or I go play soccer
that I have a massive amount of salt over
my body. So much that I can usually feel
the roughness of the granulates of salt
move across my body when I rub it and I
can see salt patches as well. I noticed it
especially the other day when I went
running. I had ran about 12 miles and when
I licked my lips all I could taste was
salt and I could see several salt patches
on my chest, stomach, and face. A week
later when I ran 15 miles I had a rift of
salt going down my cheekbone and my entire
chest, stomach, sides, and back as far as
I could tell was covered in salt. One of
my friends told me it was from
malnutrition. I personally think it might
be from not drinking enough water but I'm
not quite sure. I'm pretty sure it's not
healthy for me to have that much salt
leave my body like that and so I'm a bit
concerned. Thanks!

Hi Shade
Our apologies in not posting a reply to
you sooner.
I can re-post your problem in the fitness
forum for now, so you can
get support with this.
Are you drinking enough water? as you
know, when you sweat
your body dehydrates, so if there isn't
enough '(Hydroxide - H2o)' Water in your
body, it will start taking the salt
(sodium chloride - NaCI) as a substitute
instead, to cool the skin, after all, that
is the reason why we sweat, and why we
need to drink plenty of water.
Please drink plenty of water when doing
any sport, and especially when doing
sports on a hot day...
Best regards
