What makes me angrier is that even if a dog doesn't die in a fight and gets rescued by officials... they are almost never adoptable. The poor things didn't do anything wrong, but almost all of them have violent "harboring" reactions with their food and toys, and since they are often larger dogs that do have a potential to cause more harm when they do bite, and they are violence prone due to bad treatment and training, they often have to be put down. A rare few manage to escape with personalities mostly intact, but even those dogs cannot be adopted to homes that already have animals in them, because they will attack them.

I totally agree... Its all so sad. I no people do it for a thrill, but thats a sick thrill, thats like torchering and killing a person...... It makes me honestly sick

speaking from a person in dog rescue id have to say its the hardest thing to see a dog like taht
ive seen dogs with acids pored on them
ive seen dogs that have even meeb thrown from moving cars.... abandoned...abused...or just unwanted dogs in general...
but eiri is right dogs that have been rescue for fighting are rarely adopted
and are euthinized and dont get a 2nd chance in life

And its horrible because its not their fault they act that way, its the owners fault....

I knew a dog who was rescued and the people (a mother and daughter) fell inlove with the dog imedietly... Anyways, the dog was so sweet. It would never bight you or hurt an...other animal.... Well, It bit the mailman 3 times.. They found out that the dog was proibibly abused... Anyways the state was going to make her put the dog to sleep, but sshe then found nother home for the dog, with another family who had a tempermental dog and they accually worked well with eachother and the two dogs now calm eachother down...

I think animals can change, but sometimes they are to scarred to changed because of their dumb stupid owners... who think its funny to hurt them.

Yeah I totally agree it's sad. You would have to be a very sick person to do that to me having a pet is like having a child they need to be nurtured and loved so much. WHats the point of getting an animal to just hurt them. Some people just have no conscience.

not ALL pit bulls are mean scary dog. my max chases butterflies. and tahts the mst harmful thing hes ever done in his life

there has also been a horrible new outbreak of abuse here in austin
people are feeding cats and kittens do these dogs to make them more agressive and training them to fight by getting baby kittens and throwing them to two starving dogs and the one who "wins" and gets to eat is the one they fight next...

i had a westie about a year ago that was thrown from the back of a moving truck... she survived but only got to keep 2 of her legs ...and she went to an awsome home.

I know it makes me sick to my stomic... Put bulls are not bad dogs, its the owners who make them bad....

there was just a Rotwiller attack today. and the lady god part of her have ripped of ( just the flesh) and the cops shot the dog once, the dog didnt go down, one more time and it died.... The owners wont talk and didnt say sorry to the woman who was hurt.... What kind of owners are they to have a dog that is taught to attack???

Dogs are so gentle and loving.... What people do makes me SICK.
