On 7/2/07 i had an inguinal and femoral hernia repair not done laparoscopically they opened me up. ITs been a little over 2 weeks. Had sex the day before yesterday and since then i have felt an uncomfortable feeling kind of like a pinching in my upper thigh on the inside and the area where the incision is has felt random twinges of pain where the scar tissue is. When i walk i feel it. Im worried that i may have undone what they fixed. I have read online though that after surgury you will feel random pains because the muscles and nerves they cut thru are reconnecting and recovering. I didnt begin to really feel this until after sex though. Im guessing its because since the surgury i did limited moveement and the muscles in that area havent been used and are just stressed from suddenly being moved. Has anyone else felt anything like this... eekkk im nervous and really hope i did not just undo that surgury.

In the case of both my open hernia surgeries I was not meant to do any exercise for 6 weeks after the op, that includes sex.
Even though that was about 8 years ago I would still think this would apply with these kind of surgeries. Did the doctors not inform you of that?

The pain you describe sounds like femoral hernia pain to me, if it doesn't go away in the next few days you should go and see your doctor to get it checked.
