Would you donate a egg to a member of your family?
Without a Doubt
Only if I thought they would be good parents
It would be too hard to see my child being raised by someone else. I might donate to a stranger.

here is an interesting story - the mother donated her eggs so her daughter could have a baby. Its sweet, nbut I cant help but thing these kinds of issues would cause a lot of family tensions. http://www.thenewsroom.com/details/467419/ Health?c_id=wom-kg-jlt - Kate from the womens health desk at **please don't advertize**

Not sure if it's possible but I would prefer the daughter getting an egg from someone else. Only because it would be a very strange circumstance. It would almost be your child. You'd know it, you're daughter would know it. If however getting a donation from somebody else is not possible then naturally i would.

Well if the daughter gets the egg from the mum then what she will have officially is another sibling and not a daughter/son. It doesn't surprise me this cases from nowadays. It's like a baby market. You shop for the sperm donor, the egg donor and so on. And people are willing to pay thousands and thousands for having this procedures done. It's crazy. Bottom line is not their child and it's no difference to adopting. Now that I'm pregnant and see all the uncomfort and nausea that comes with pregnancy I wouldn't pay so many thousands just to be 9 months like this. Gosh I can't wait to eat like I used to eat before and having nausea no more. If i had fertility issues I would just adopt a child. And I would feel very proud of helping a child in need. Even hollywood stars like Tom Cruise, Madonna and Angelina Jolie are doing it.

This mum is totally nuts btw. She is going to froze her eggs (that's about 11 thousands in america) and it is about $600 for each year for storage fees. Let's do math the girl is 7 so say she wants to have babies at 23 that's 16 years x $600. 11 thousands. And we don't know if the girl is infertile yet most probably she is not so keep figuring the waste of money. That's an expensive way to have a new brother/sister. Oh and thawing the egg is an additional 5 thousands. Laughing

Prenatal care without insurance: 6 more thousands
