Urinary Tract Infection During Pregnancy

How likely is it for a women to get URI during pregnancy? I found out that I had it 2 months ago when I did all my lab tests (hiv, sick cell, haemoglobin etc). I am now 16 weeks pregnant. My GYN prescribed Amoxil for a week and I figured that it should clear up by now. I took another test last week and should get the results soon. My urine cleared up but today I found that it was a bit smelly what could be the cause? I know pregnancy causes a alot of hormonal changes and this is my first pregnancy and I haven't gained more than 4 lbs since I found out that I am pregnant. I am now 16 weeks pregnant. Advice?
