Q: Shoulder Pain

I recently had an MRI for severe pain in my right shoulder. The doctor thought i might have torn a tendon. The MRI results show no tears, but radiologist found "small subcortical cystic-like lesions in the humeral head." I won't see my doctor for two weeks to discuss the results... can someone explain what the results mean? Does treatment involve surgery?
