I went off of hormones cold turkey last june and within 3 months my mouth was so dry that my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth. After many tests, all negative, I went back on hormones and improved immediately. My ogbyn wants me to go off slowly, and after one month of tapering off, my mouth is producing less saliva again. I am miserable! Does anyone else out there suffer from this and do you have a remedy for your dry mouth? I also suffer from stress and anxiety. I woud appreciate any imput.

Dry Mouth Etc.
I had no idea for months as to why I would wake each night parched and dry. I figured it was allergies that were causing mouth-breathing. After a bout with eye irritation that I later learned was from dry-eye, I realized that all this dryness was a menopausal condition.
Have to tell you that after 3 weeks on soy and black cohosh vitamins I can sleep without thrashing like mental patient and my eye dryness is under control. (took 3 wks, though--doesn't work right away)

Me too! I had to go off hormones cold turkey in May and now my eyes and mouth are so dry I'm miserable, not to mention all the hot flashes again. I think I may consider going back on them and take the risk of why I went off them in the first place (blood clot).
