april 13 of this year i had my tubes tied. june 14 of this year i had a cyst rupture on my left ovary and appendicitis which i had surgery for. on july 12 i found out i was 6 weeks pregnant. now comes the tricky part. i have been taking lortab since nov 06 for pain. along with the morphine that i was given after my surgery in june. i also had a cat scan done with the radition dye. i am schedule to abort on july 27 but wondering what to look forward to after it is done. and please before anyone asks if i can keep it, my doctor has informed me there is no way i can carry to term with the medical problems i am having. any advice on what to expect would be helpful. thanks

Hi, you are from florida?

There are a lot of good clinics in florida, I recommend using IV sedation for the abortion, as it would make the procedure painless.

You should actually feel normal, even pretty good after the abortion. I was very happy after my abortion, I felt very well. I had very severe morning sickness, and I was finally happy to be able eat something without getting sick.

yes i live in crestview. i am having it done in pensacola on the 27th with IV sedation. glad to know that i will feel better after its done at least for a little while. until the next surgery.

right now i am in so much pain that it hurts to move but that is due to my other medical problems. at least once the 27th passes i only have 4 more weeks until all the pain stops. i don't know how to act with no pain!!

Oh my goodness, I am sorry to hear about the myriad of health problems you are dealing with now.

I had an abortion and the first day I was moderately to severely crampy-I stayed around the house and puttered around. I took a pain pill, and used a heating pad. It was like a bad period. The second day I was just fine to go do whatever- no issues at all. I think I spot bled for about three days, so be prepared.

I hope it goes well for you! Best wishes!

hello,
I am really sorry to hear about all of those hard things happening to you back to back!

I had an abortion with I.V. sedation, and felt excellent afterward, the only complaint I had was an incident with the IV cite. The nurse had told me that some of the medicine had "flowed out and pooled underneath" my skin, and caused my arm to become blotchily red and painful to the touch. But even that got better in a few days and then turned into a humongous bruise that covered most of my bicep.

Anywho, as for the actual abortion, I cramped for maybe 1/2 an hour, bled very slightly for possibly 2 hours, and afterwards, felt just as I had when I had not been pregnant, no more cramping, no more bleeding.
Hopefully your experience will be similar (except for my arm thing Confused )

If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Smile
