I am conserned that after 13 years after my hysterectomy and only having one bed partner that they are now treating my for kidney infection, and yeast infection. I have not had any of these types of infections since my hysterectomy why now? Are these types of infections normal for people that have had hysterectomy?

Hi LR, if you are getting repeated infections it could be a sign of a weak pelvic floor, if your kegel or pc muscles are not strong they let in bacteria. Get a good pelvic floor exerciser for your kegels this will help to keep your pelvic health good, especially after your hysterectomy. Try washing, but not douching with Biofem Actigel, it does prevent further outbreaks of thrush, if you use a sexual lubricant or vaginal lubricant, make sure you use a waterbased on that is body friendly, I have used Eden Silk for several years now and have had no further problems. I really do think though if you can start a programme of kegels then the muscles in the pelvic floor will get stronger to support everything as it should and will keep germs out. The improved blood flow to these muscles also brings oxygen and nutrients making the muscles healthier too, so you really should benefit from it.
