Q: Getting Back Into It After Flu

I've read all different kinds of suggestions about when it's ok to resume workouts after a cold or flu. I had a very nasty cold for 3 weeks, thought it was completely gone, & started back gently, first walking, then picking up the intensity a bit & also adding strength training. One full workout of this and a couple of days later, I got hit with the flu. It's now 6 days after getting slammed, and most of it's gone except for a slight runny nose. I'm afraid to do anything to aggravate this. What's been your experience??

I would go ahead and work out, but do it light. Do not overdo it and make yourself sick again. Just start off low and do maybe weights or something instead of cardio, and just see how you feel. Your body will let you know when you are doing too much. I hope you feel better.
