Q: Side effects of Ovulex and Amberoz - can these Meds cause mi
asked by: DoctorQuestion on July 16th, 2007
My husband I and I have been trying to concieve for about a year. We were starting to get desperate and I found this natural conception aid called Ovulex (for me) and Amberoz (for him). We started taking the supplements the end of may and I found out I was pregnant in early July. I ended up having a miscarriage at 6 weeks. I immediately stopped taking the Ovulex when I found out I was pregnant. I know the Ovulex is used to keep your ovulation and menstrual cycle regular. I have a pretty regular cycle is usually is around of 28 day cycle with my ovulation day about 14 days after the beginning of my period. I am just curious if the Ovulex or Amberoz had any side effects that could possibly cause a miscarriage? We want to start trying again next month, but I am afraid to take the supplements until I know they are 100% safe. Any advice or information is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
Beth

Ovulex is a natural ovulation stimulator. You can't be sure if Ovulex helped you to conceive because you don’t know what the reason for your sterility was. You can’t treat sterility without knowing the reason for it. If the reason for your sterility was disturbed ovulation, Ovulex might have helped. It doesn't seem that disturbed ovulation was the reason for your sterility, however, because women with disturbed ovulation usually have irregular cycles and you have regular cycles.

Now it appears that you are able to conceive but can’t keep the pregnancy. It doesn’t seem likely to me that Ovulex caused miscarriage. You SHOULD consult some gynecologist about your condition and to get a proper diagnosis regarding fertility.
