Q: Sharp Abdomen Pain

I'm a 17 year old female, normal height and weight and occasionally during excercise I get a sharp pain in the lower left part of my abdonmen. About two inches left and two inches down from my belly button. It hurts less if I put pressure on it or stretch it. I only noticed after I started taking birth control pills, could it have caused this? Also, recently I have lost significant weight but I didn't notice the pain until after.

Sounds like cramps, esp if it happens during exercise.
