Q: the Morning After Pill

I had unprotected sex just a few days after my period, and my partner didn't ejaculated but I took the pill just for being sure nothing happened.... Like 3 days later I started to bleed but this bleeding looked just like menstruation... I lasted 3 days (same time as my period) so I don't know if that bleeding was my period. I'm very irregular. Do you know what was it? because today I was suposed to get my period. Thx =)

it could be your period but that pill also can throw your cycle off and cause you to bleed. You should be alright but if the bleeding continues you should get checked out by a doctor! good luck!

At times you can have your period twice in the same month especially if you are irregular, can I ask why you aren't on birth control if you are irregular and especially if you are having sex and don't want to get pregnant? Going through all of this pregnancy fear could cause a lot of stress to you which is not healthy for you at all. I would suggest you speak to your doctor about getting on some sort of birth control ifyou aren't going to use any other protection, you really shouldn't rely on the morning after pill as a form of birth control all the time. Plus with the pill you will be regular and you can have all the sex you want and not have to worry as much.

I always use condom but that time I did it wothout it because I had just my period and I was sure nothing could happen, after having sex I felt a little beat anxious about it so I wanted to take the pill just to prevent from something happening. I won't do that again that's for sure but now.... i just want to know if the pill made my period to came earlier.

It definetly could have happened! You can still get pregnant on or right after your period but the chances are pretty slim.Just make sure you are protected hun! Wink

I agree...plus condoms are not 100% either...my cousin got pregnant with a condom...a friend of mine was using a condom and it broke and low and behold 9 months later he was a daddy...I think the sure fire way and the healthy way all around for you would be the pill...as for the morning after pill..it's just possible it is your period because you are irregular.

Sometimes. But it can also make your period later. I've heard of it doing both. The only way to know if it worked is to take a test.

Hello, I had unprotected sex too and just like the other person my boyfriend didnt actually ejaculated but we were both not sure if there were some liquids with sperm coming out beacuse we felt there were some, so I took the morning after pill right away.
My problem is that: the next day we had sex again but with condom of course just to make sure that the pill made its way till my next period and according to the instructions in the box and pharmacist.
But there was an irritation in my vagina ,I was feeling pain and stinging and it was so painful for me while he was trying to get inside, although he did it very very causiously and slowly. So I realized that my vagina suddenly was too dry and without any liquids although I was feeling very sexual and although the condom was new and with enough lubricant.
Plus, it was so weird because the day before(the day I took the pill I was full of liquids and with no problem at all. No irritation, no pain, no stinging and all that. Also I've never experienced such incident with condoms before, only if the intercourse lasted too long.Could the pill cause such irritation or such dryiness in the vagina area?

The pill can definitely cause spotting and/or late or early periods, especially if you're irregular to start with. It can also make you feel sick, and it can make you dry (buy some lube!!). When I took it I felt awful, I spotted a lot, and my period was late.

You can get pregnant at any time, even on your period and definitely right after it.

You can get pregnant if he doesn't ejaculate.

The morning after pill only protects against ONE act of sex. It does not protect during future sex or sex you had a week ago. It will only protect against one act of sex you had in the last 1-5 days.

It's not reliable or fun to take very often. Getting on the pill is much more reliable and it makes your body much happier and more stable.
