Hi everyone
What is with the divorce these days... Is it cool to be divorced or something ? Everybody is divorcing, My parents are 60 yrs old and they decided that they need to get a divorce, my best friend is dovorcing, my cousing is devorcing, one of my colleagues is divorcing.. it's madness, It seems I'm the only one left happily married. I want to help them somehow, I have some influence on my friend but I think they gonna separate anyway. Any thoughts on thisone ?

Instant gratification?.............wiping the slate clean?.............last chance at happiness?

In the past, divorced people were looked down on............as failures...........shunned................ yeah, it's too easy to dispose of someone now, but I still think it's better than staying together and being miserable.......................divorce isn't the end of the world and in many ways it is like a fresh start...............

And since you are happliy married maybe you can give the rest of us a clue on how to do it?(no sarcasm) Smile

Your Happily Marred Now
I agree with spirit by the way
last chance at happiness ...never with the right one top begin with ,{it happens}
it is too easy to divorce now days true and some of us {me} wish it were cheaper quicker .............
I gave 22 years and lived a loveless marriage to the father of my son ...he was a good guy mind you but when there never was love and you settle for comfort security ect....it gets old sooner or later love wants to find you you want to find it perhaps you and yours started in love and you are naturally good at keeping love alive .....get to where your roomates ,co exsist , you may be one of us?
Now your one of the blessed ...good for you ....offer this book to these people you care about THE FIVE LANGUAGES OF LOVE By Gary Chapman
read one yourself maintain this perfect life in marriage you have ....best wishes wazzywoman/robin

Why you couldn't love this man you choose to marry? I mean where you disgusted at him and you married him just for security? Was there anything you liked about him? I'm just curious to know. I have a hard time believing someone would go through the struggle of preparing a wedding to marry a guy they never really liked. And then have a child with him? Can you imagine?
