Q: Pulling Out + Condoms = ?

I have been with my boyfirend for about six months and we just recently started playing around without condoms. He penetrates a few times and then pulls out and puts a condom on. I was wondering if this act increases or decreases my chances of becoming pregnant.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

Definitely increases your chances. A bare penis could have pre-ejaculate on it, which contains sperm. And sperm inside your vagina can and will get you pregnant.

If you're not ready for a baby, wear the condom at all times.

the reason i ask is because it seems to kind of defeat the purpose, if condoms have spermicide on them and he did pre ejaculate, don't they cancel each other out?

Not necessarily. There's no guarantee that the spermicide would kill all the sperm that made it inside of you. I personally would not risk it.

But if you're interested in sex without a condom, perhaps you should explore alternative methods of birth control, such as the pill or maybe an iud.

I've explored all the options and the pill for me sucked. It made my periods last months i tried about 5 diffent kinds and doses so I stuck with condoms. I've tried depo and iuds and also unconventional methods. it seems I am doomed where birth control is concerned. we aren't shootingfor a kid, but if it happens, neither of us will be upset. i'm not making excuses, it is what it is, we are both well enough off to take care and raise a beautiful child. thanks for shedding some light on the issue for me.
Very Happy

Of course, no problem! I'm sorry other birth control methods didn't work out for you. Good luck to you and your partner! Wink
