I am getting braces soon and can't decide wheather to get the clear or silver ones. I am a coffee drinker and that is really the only thing that is making me think twice about getting clear is the discoloration and having people think I have rotten teeth or something. Anyone have any input on this? I need to decide this week and just can't so hopefully I can get some replies.

why would you not recommend the clear? I don't have them yet, just want some feedback.

Hey

i would just be worried that the braces would become stained if you ate anything with color in them. Id ask about that and if they say they dont . then go for the clear. I didnt have clear and stained those bands regularly. but the bands got changed and looked like new again.

I got braces about 3 months ago. I opted for the clear. (as an adult and from what the Orthodontist suggested)

He ended up giving me clear on top and metal on bottom. I like the metal much better.

The clear just make my teeth look dirty.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up getting the clear since I only have them on top right now and they are doing really well. The only thing I notice is that if I drink coffee a lot the bands stain a little.
