I went to the ER last monday with what 2 different doctors thought was appendicitis because I had classic symptoms. However upon much discussion over my CT scan it was not really the case or so they think. I have been to GI docs and surgeon and had the CT scan and colonoscopy which the only thing that came back was that I have a 3x3.3 cm tissue like mass with a 1x0.8cm calcification in the middle, right where my appendix should be. I am not really getting too many answers and the surgeon said that I would eventually need it removed whatever it might be. The surgeon said it may be that I might have had appendicitis before and it encased itself and now I have a case of it again and that is why it manifest itself like traditional appendicitis.
Anyone have any ideas on something like this?
Thanks
