She should be able to latch onto you breast. I breastfed my daughter and used a pump at times to get some rest. If you use bottle nipples that are similar to the breast you shouldnt have no problem. I used the Avent nipples on the Avent bottle and the Gerber nuk nipples on the Gerber bottles. They both worked out fine and I was still able to breastfeed my daughter.

Hey dani,
Its awesome your breastfeeding Mika!

I;ve got a great Madela electric breast pump and Montanah's only had a few bottles in her life, but she has taken breast and bottle fine.

It depends on the baby tho.The can have nipple confusion and not want to suck from the bottle if mainly breastfed.
Sometimes they wont want to drink from the breast because it is much easier to drink form a bottle(less effort for lazy bubs Laughing )

They usually recommend waiting at least 6 weeks for breastfeeding to be established then try iontroducing a bottle.

I think if Mika is gettin 90% of feeds from your boobies she would have a greater chance of rejecting the bottle.

Maybe see if you can hire a pump before buying one?Over here in Australia you can hire them from pharmacies and our breast feeding assosiation.THere should be something like that over there for you.
