Have you ever noticed that most all of us teens that have kids, or are pregnant have had or are having problems with the father of the baby? What is their deal? It's not like we crawled up on ourselves and got ourselves pregnant. I guess it's proof that males do mature slower than females. I think realizing that your aren't living your life for yourself anymore, but for a little baby, has a lot to do with it to. I guess they can't grasp that concept. Guys are really self absorbed if you ask me. I wonder how they'd feel if it were the other way around and they were the ones stuck taking care of a baby 24/7 and having sleepless nights?

Lol I agree crystal.....But I can't say much on this area because when it comes to this dewitt has a lot of respect for me. He's cheesy and says that my stretch marks are beautiful. Lol......When his mom asked me why I didnt put on a little makeup he said I was beautiful and didnt hafta wear makeup. Lol. He can be the biggest ass but he can also be the biggest sweetheart. I think all guys need to have more respect for women. They don't have to deal with being pregnant and giving birth. Girls definitely mature faster!

I think for the most part why they have problems is because some relationships are taken for fun and they think they are in love, but once a kid pops up, then lives get mixed together as well as emotions and everything so some teens arent as ready as they thought they were and the parents dont get along because its a whole new ballgame now. Thats just what I think because this one time I thought I was pregnant a while ago, with my boyfriend I told him and he turned into a whole new guy talking about hes not ready and stuff, and he became a jerk so we ended it and good thing I wasnt pregnant but it just changes people

Hey
I think that it's not that they don't love you..... Or anything. I mean, some don't. But some do. They just.... The reality of "omg, i'm a father" hits them a little different that it hits us girls! We are like, omg~i'm a mommy, ok, i'll deal with it. But guys want to run because it's what they know to do! I think that the guys need to grow up and if you can have sex, you can accept responsibility! Like you said, I didn't get preggo on my own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the posts girls. I agree with all of you obviously. Ethan's dad was just how you said. Before I got pregnant, he was always telling me how much he loved me and wanted to marry me and all this stuff and then when I told him I was pregnant he was like, "i can't deal with this." he actually tried to tell me to get an abortion. I've always been 100% anti-abortion though, so that didn't fly with me. Eventually things starting getting better and he was glad I didn't get an abortion, but then he changed and didn't really want to hang out with me anymore. All he wanted to do was go out with his friends and he hardly ever called. I had to call him if I wanted us to talk and even then, he'd get off the phone with me with some stupid made up excuse. We aren't together anymore, but now he's saying how he wants to change and do all these great things. All I have to say is....I'll believe it when I see it.

Yeah it makes sense. I hope he does come around, but I don't think we could ever be together and be happy. Maybe we could just be really good friends. He wants a career in the military which means he would be in for 20 years at least and he would only have 30 days leave a year. And I really don't want to live on a millitary base all my life, especially with ethan having to live there too. I just want a normal life. I don't want to be one of those sad, crying military wives always wondering if their husband has been killed. Him and me always got into a fight over that whole deal.

No, ethan and I have been home for more than 3 weeks now and he's only seen him twice in that time. If he's not at work he's usually spending his time at school in the military program he's involved with or online talking to people on military forums or he's playing a military simulation game. He's the most hardcore military fanatic i've ever seen. It starts to get on your nerves after a while. He has no back up plan either, if he doesn't get into the military..Like if he doen't pass basic training, then he'll be screwed becaues he has no back up. He's so narrow minded and only focuses on that. I told him make a back up plan just incase, but he was like, "no, i'm gonna do this".

Hey
I hate to say it but I know
heather, meghan, haley, brandi, and shelly are 5 girls I know for sure that aren't with their baby's father. These girls are 18, 18, 17, 17, 15.
It seems like your point is right.... Guys mature slower and aren't ready for this type of situation! It's sad though, these poor girls have to raise their kids alone, although, in some of the girls cases its prolly better that the father isn't there!
Love,
chanda

Jennifer: i'll keep you posted with the details of what's going on.

Chanda: I agree with you, somtimes it's better for the father not to be there. I'm not really sure if it even really matters to aj. Sometimes I think the only thing he cares about is being in the army. He's obsessed and I honestly think he needs to talk to someone about it. It's an unhealthy obsession and that's half the reason our relationship didn't work out.

This is really creepy, but I think half the reason is because he likes the thought of that kind of thing....Guns and killing. Also, I think he has it in his head that he'll do something heroic and become this great well known hero. Which will never happen. I asked him once why he wanted to do something where he knew people would be shooting at him and trying to kill him and where he'd have to kill other people and he said because that's the only thing he knows how to do. That doesn't make much sense, it's not like he's ever been there before. I think once he's really out there like in iraq some where, he's gonna be scared crapless.

Yeah, it's really frustrating. And you're right, that's his biggest problem...He thinks he's the caca.
