Need help please. Our baby can't seem to stay awake during the day and can't seem to sleep much at night. He's fussy all night and we can't get sleep. Anyone with suggestions? Thank you

i'm not a mom yet but i'm about to be so i'm reading up on it. it's probably something you'd have to do gradually. they say you should make sure everything is quiet and dim at night and don't stimulate baby at all by talking or singing or even making eye contact at night. i don't mean ignoring them, just staying really quiet and subdued when you feed them or whatever. and during the day you're supposed to do the opposite. make their feeding time a little more exciting for them by talking and singing to them and making sure they get some play time. make sure things are brighter and a little noisier during the day so they can tell the difference. that's all i've got. lol. good luck.

Baby Not Sleeping
Thank you for your help. We tried that actually, what you suggested. We tried our hardest to keep him up during the day and succeeded and then at night he ate with very low light and quietness and we put him down and he starts crying and crying!!! Smile He was up for about 2 hours but then finally slept 4 hours straight. That was a huge improvement from other nights of no sleep at all. Thanks for your suggestions and help! Good luck with being a mother!
